Cable-nomics: The U.S. cable industry generated nearly $569 billion in economic output and supported 1.3 million jobs nationwide in 2024, according to a new report commissioned by NCTA – The Internet & Television Association. The study, conducted by Chmura Economics & Analytics and released today, found that cable broadband providers produced $366 billion in economic impact and supported about 888,000 jobs. Cable programmers, meanwhile, contributed another $196 billion and 351,000 jobs. (More after paywall.)
