Closing Time: Nebraska Technology and Telecommunications in Omaha is preparing to shut down all of its phone and Internet services across five states, leaving nearly 4,000 customers with only weeks to find new providers, according to an Aug. 13 filing with the Federal Communications Commission. The company, known as NT&T, told the FCC it will discontinue long‑distance service on Aug. 15 and end local telephone and Internet service on Sept. 30. The move affects customers in Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota. (More after paywall)
